Medellín is a city of contrasts, with affluent and elegant neighborhoods like El Poblado alongside humble and impoverished areas.
People sometimes think that because I speak the truth about Medellín, it means I hate Medellín. That's not the case.
It's just my responsibility to speak the truth, not only for my followers but also because if you know the truth, you can change it. Lies don't improve reality.
Medellín is a city where you can find drugs, prostitution, and vice, but it's also a place where you can feel like you're in the best city in the world because of its landscapes, people, beautiful women, delicious food, and vibrant culture. It's important to acknowledge both sides.
The people of Medellín take great pride in their city and strive to keep it pristine.
It is a modern and dynamic city, brimming with life and offering a rich cultural experience. Alongside Bogotá, it serves as an economic powerhouse for the country, thanks in part to the entrepreneurial spirit of the locals.
Many startups and foreigners choose to settle here, making it an increasingly cosmopolitan city open to new influences.
Medellín is currently one of the trendiest cities in Colombia. It's no wonder that many foreigners choose to make it their home, drawn not only by its economic dynamism but also by its pleasant living environment.
With its pleasant climate, tree-lined avenues, restaurants, cafés, chic boutiques, and the overall sense of safety, particularly in El Poblado, Medellín offers a highly attractive setting for residents and visitors alike.
Furthermore, boredom is simply out of the question in this city, as there is a wide range of things to see and do. Medellín also serves as an excellent base for day trips to nearby destinations such as Santa Fe de Antioquia, Guatapé, the Peñol, natural areas of great beauty like Río Claro, and charming towns like Jericó and Jardín.
Despite its recent past, Medellín surprises visitors with its positive transformation and is undoubtedly a must-visit destination in Colombia. It is a shining gem in the country's tourism offerings and an essential stop on any itinerary.
